Standards That Protect You and the Value of Your Credential

✓Completion Requirements

• Learners must complete all required modules, assessments, and applied work to earn a course completion certificate.
• Partial completion is recorded but does not result in a credential. Progress is retained for the duration of enrollment access.
• Completion records are immutable once finalized. Corrections require an audited administrative workflow with documented reason, actor, and timestamp.
• Pathway credentials require completion of all specified courses in the pathway sequence plus any additional applied assessments or portfolios where indicated.

📋Assessment & Academic Integrity

• Assessment types, passing scores, and attempt policies are disclosed on each course detail page before enrollment.
• ByteWire reserves the right to use proctored or identity-verified assessments for courses where credential integrity requires it.
• Learners must complete their own work. Plagiarism, unauthorized collaboration, use of unauthorized materials, or misrepresentation of identity may result in grade invalidation, credential revocation, and account action.
• AI tools may be used where explicitly permitted by the course. Required disclosures and approved-use boundaries are stated in course materials.
• Question banks and answer keys are protected. Unauthorized access, distribution, or reproduction of assessment content is prohibited.

🔒Identity Verification

• Learners must register with accurate personal information. Credential names reflect the name on file at the time of issuance.
• Identity verification may be required for proctored assessments and credentialed completions. Accepted methods are disclosed before enrollment.
• ByteWire does not collect biometric data beyond what is necessary for identity verification during proctored assessments.
• Name changes on issued credentials require supporting documentation and are processed through the credential correction workflow.

💳Refund & Cancellation

• Individual enrollments: Full refund if requested within 7 days of purchase and before completing more than 25% of course content. After that window, enrollments are non-refundable.
• Organizational and cohort programs: Cancellation and refund terms are defined in the organizational agreement. Contact your ByteWire program manager for details.
• ByteWire reserves the right to cancel or reschedule live sessions due to insufficient enrollment or instructor unavailability. Affected learners receive a full refund or transfer to an equivalent session.
• Refund processing typically takes 5–10 business days to the original payment method.

♿Accessibility & Accommodations

• ByteWire Forensics Academy targets WCAG 2.2 AA compliance for all public-facing and learning platform pages.
• Learners who require accommodations—including extended assessment time, alternative content formats, or assistive technology support—should contact us before or during enrollment.
• Accommodation requests are reviewed individually and documented. Approved accommodations do not alter learning outcomes or credential requirements.
• If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please report it to [email protected] so we can address it promptly.

📁Records, Privacy & Data Retention

• ByteWire maintains enrollment, completion, assessment, and credential records for a minimum of seven years after credential issuance or last enrollment activity.
• Learner data is collected and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Minimum necessary data principles apply to analytics, reporting, and organizational cohort reporting.
• Learners may request a copy of their records or corrections to personal information through their account dashboard or by contacting support.
• Credential verification returns only the learner's name (if consent is given), credential title, issue date, status, and expiration where applicable. No assessment scores, grades, or course progress are disclosed through the public verification page.
• Marketing consent is collected separately from service consent. Learners may opt out of marketing communications at any time without affecting their enrollment or credentials.

🤖AI Use in Learning & Assessment

• ByteWire discloses material use of AI in learning content delivery and assessment where applicable.
• Human review is required for consequential scoring decisions. AI-assisted grading, where used, is disclosed and subject to instructor oversight.
• Learner submissions are not used to train external AI models without express written authorization.
• Courses that incorporate AI tools as part of the learning experience clearly define approved use, required disclosures, and the boundary between AI-assisted and independent work.

⚖️Code of Conduct

• All learners, instructors, and staff are expected to interact with professionalism, integrity, and respect in all Academy communications, forums, and sessions.
• Harassment, discrimination, threats, or disruptive behavior may result in removal from a course or program without refund.
• Violations of academic integrity, assessment security, or credential misrepresentation are subject to investigation and may result in credential revocation.
