Standards & Accreditation

Built to the Standards That Matter

ByteWire Forensics aligns its Academy programs and consulting operations with internationally recognized standards — including the ANSI/IACET Standard for Continuing Education and Training and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems — to ensure every course, engagement, and deliverable meets the highest benchmarks for quality and accountability.

Our Commitment

Quality Is Not Optional — It Is Operational

ByteWire Forensics was founded by investigators who spent decades inside institutions where evidence standards, chain-of-custody discipline, and courtroom scrutiny are non-negotiable. We bring that same rigor to our Academy training programs and advisory services. Aligning with nationally and internationally recognized standards is not a marketing exercise — it is the operational baseline from which we measure everything we deliver.

Our parent company, Air Jamaica Transit Corporation (AJTC), is currently in the ISO 9001 certification process, establishing a Quality Management System (QMS) that spans every operational division — including ByteWire Forensics. This ensures that the same quality frameworks, documented processes, and continuous improvement cycles that govern our logistics and transportation operations also govern our cybersecurity training and consulting practice.

IACET Accreditation

ANSI/IACET 1-2018 Standard for Continuing Education and Training

The International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) is an ANSI-accredited standards-developing organization that establishes quality criteria for adult continuing education programs. IACET Accredited Providers are authorized to award Continuing Education Units (CEUs) — the recognized measure of non-credit professional development. ByteWire Forensics is actively preparing its application for IACET Accredited Provider status.

The Nine Elements of the ANSI/IACET Standard

The ANSI/IACET 1-2018 Standard evaluates how continuing education programs are developed, delivered, and evaluated across nine categories. ByteWire Forensics Academy is designed to meet or exceed each element:

1

Organization, Responsibility & Control

Clear organizational structure, designated responsibility for CE/T operations, and documented quality control processes.

2

Learning Environment & Support Systems

A purpose-built LMS with accessible course delivery, technical support, and learner accommodations.

3

Planning & Instructional Personnel

Qualified instructors with verified credentials, subject-matter expertise, and documented teaching competence.

4

Needs Analysis

Systematic identification of workforce capability gaps informed by industry trends, employer feedback, and threat intelligence.

5

Learning Outcomes

Measurable, competency-based outcomes defined for every course and aligned with professional practice requirements.

6

Content & Instructional Requirements

Curriculum built on the ADDIE instructional design model with content reviewed for accuracy, relevance, and operational applicability.

7

Assessment of Learning Outcomes

Validated assessments — including quizzes, practical exercises, and scenario-based evaluations — that measure achievement of stated outcomes.

8

Awarding CEUs & Maintaining Records

Accurate tracking of learner participation, completion, and CEU awards with permanent digital records maintained in our LMS.

9

Evaluation of Learning Events

Systematic post-course evaluation processes that feed continuous improvement cycles for every program offering.

What is a CEU?

One IACET Continuing Education Unit (CEU) equals 10 contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction. CEUs are the recognized standard for documenting non-credit professional development and are accepted by licensing boards, credentialing associations, and employers worldwide.

Quality Management

ISO 9001:2015 — Quality Management System

ISO 9001:2015 is the internationally recognized standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS). It provides a framework for organizations to consistently deliver products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement.

Air Jamaica Transit Corporation, ByteWire Forensics's parent company, is currently in the ISO 9001 certification process. This QMS implementation covers all AJTC divisions, including ByteWire Forensics's cybersecurity consulting and Academy training operations. The certification process ensures that documented procedures, internal audits, management reviews, and corrective action processes are in place across every service line.

Seven Quality Management Principles

ISO 9001:2015 is built on seven principles that govern how ByteWire Forensics designs, delivers, and evaluates its services:

👤

Customer Focus

Understanding and meeting client requirements, from forensic investigation scoping to learner outcomes in Academy courses.

🎯

Leadership

Top management commitment to quality, with Dr. Hamilton and Dr. Linton directly overseeing QMS implementation.

🤝

Engagement of People

Competent, empowered personnel at every level, with documented qualifications and ongoing professional development.

⚙️

Process Approach

Systematic management of interrelated processes — from intake and evidence handling to course development and delivery.

📈

Improvement

Continuous improvement through internal audits, management reviews, corrective actions, and learner feedback integration.

📊

Evidence-Based Decision Making

Decisions driven by data analysis — from threat intelligence informing curriculum updates to course evaluation metrics driving improvements.

🔗

Relationship Management

Sustained partnerships with clients, regulatory bodies, academic institutions, and professional organizations.

ISO 9001 Certification Status

Air Jamaica Transit Corporation is actively pursuing ISO 9001:2015 certification through the BSI (British Standards Institution). The QMS implementation includes documented quality policies, process mapping, internal audit schedules, management review cycles, and corrective action procedures that apply to all AJTC divisions, including ByteWire Forensics. Certification status updates will be published on this page as the process advances.

Academy Quality Framework

How These Standards Shape the ByteWire Forensics Academy

The ByteWire Forensics Academy — with 27 courses across four professional tracks — is designed from the ground up to meet the requirements of both IACET accreditation and ISO 9001 quality management. Here is how these standards are embedded in our Academy operations:

Instructional Design (ADDIE Model)

Every course follows the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation cycle required by the ANSI/IACET Standard. Needs analysis informs course creation; measurable learning outcomes drive content development; validated assessments measure achievement; and post-course evaluations feed continuous improvement.

Qualified Instructional Personnel

Lead instructors are current professors and adjunct professors who hold verified credentials, including EnCE (Certified EnCase Examiner), ACE (AccessData Certified Examiner), C|EH (Certified Ethical Hacker), C|HFI (Certified Hacking Forensic Investigator), and C|DFE (Certified Digital Forensics Examiner). All are court-qualified expert witnesses with operational field experience.

Measurable Learning Outcomes

Each course defines specific, measurable competency-based outcomes. Assessments — including quizzes, scenario-based evaluations, and practical exercises — are directly mapped to these outcomes to verify learner achievement.

Learner Records & Certificates

The Academy LMS maintains permanent digital records of enrollment, participation, assessment scores, and course completion. Certificates are generated automatically upon successful completion, with unique verification identifiers.

Continuous Improvement

Course content is reviewed and updated based on learner feedback, assessment performance data, emerging threat intelligence, and changes in regulatory requirements. This aligns with both the IACET evaluation requirement (Element 9) and the ISO 9001 improvement clause (Section 10).

Four Professional Tracks

Digital Forensics (FCMP Series) — 9 courses covering forensic methodology, evidence handling, and specialized analysis. Cybersecurity (CYS Series) — 9 courses spanning governance, risk management, and technical controls. Cybercrime Investigations (CCI Series) — 6 courses on investigative techniques, legal frameworks, and digital evidence.AI Literacy (AI Series) — 3 courses on AI fundamentals, organizational applications, and ethical considerations.
